offline (ie, LIVING LIFE!) but instead I must grouse about having spent the entire morning troubleshooting the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.clarivate.com\/Endnote\/s\/article\/EndNote-The-tools-in-the-toolbar-are-grayed-out?language=en_US\">problems with my referencing software<\/a>.\u00a0 Little Girl only has a half day of school today (therefore I can only count on a half day of productivity today!) and I have done NONE of the work I intended doing.\u00a0 And she&#8217;ll be here in less than an hour!<\/p>\n<p>SO FRUSTRATED.\u00a0 But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0277953617306561\">trying hard not to stress out<\/a>.\u00a0 Breathing in, out, in out.<\/p>\n<p>The disconcerting bit is how the problem appears to be resolved, but I am not confident that any of my fixes worked the magic.\u00a0 It seemed to inexplicably right itself, just as I commenced crying\/yelling!<\/p>\n<p>I cannot help but think that the screens are retaliating to my joyful rejection of them during Screen Free Week?\u00a0 No, not possible!\u00a0 Does AI exist in word processing\/referencing software?\u00a0 Surely not!\u00a0 And if so, did the sight of my sobbing form elicit some kind of compassionate reaction?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know what to think!!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, friends, let&#8217;s share some links.<\/p>\n<p>Here is <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.edweek.org\/teachers\/teaching_now\/2014\/07\/study_too_many_structured_activities_hinder_childrens_executive_functioning.html\">a little something about how too many structured events<\/a> can limit kids&#8217; right there.<\/p>\n<p>T<a href=\"https:\/\/humanetech.com\/\">he Center for Humane Tech has released some important info<\/a>, this week, about the shared definition of &#8220;<strong><em>human downgrading<\/em><\/strong>&#8220;.\u00a0 Love.\u00a0 Not a moment too soon, my friends, as there are definitely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthyplace.com\/addictions\/center-for-internet-addiction-recovery\/relationship-between-depression-and-internet-addiction\">downsides to our love affair with devices<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/04\/27\/technology\/apple-screen-time-trackers.html\">hardware designers don&#8217;t seem to really want to support our paths to healing.\u00a0 SHAME on you, Apple!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At least <a href=\"https:\/\/inthemoment.io\/\">there&#8217;s Moment.\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also, speaking of healing, I LOVE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithsonianmag.com\/smart-news\/british-doctors-may-soon-prescribe-art-music-dance-singing-lessons-180970750\/\">this approach from British doctors, prescribing real life stuff <\/a>that&#8217;s good for the soul (I know I love my dance class and need it like medicine!).\u00a0 Thanks, Smithsonian Mag, for sharing.\u00a0 Unrelated goodness: using humour to share an important message about world overpopulation &#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.endangeredspeciescondoms.com\/index.html\">endangered species condoms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an important <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/whats-the-school-cleaners-name-how-kids-not-just-cleaners-are-paying-the-price-of-outsourcing-115443\">article from &#8220;the conversation&#8221;
